Mets prospect Noah Syndergaard falls in love with NYC
Last week, Mets starting pitching prospect Noah Syndergaard pitched for the first time at Citi Field, throwing a scoreless inning in the Futures Game for Team USA.
The right-handed Syndergaard, who grew up in Texas, had never been to New York before his visit for the All-Star festivities.
“It was unbelievable, man,” Syndergaard told ESPNNew York.com. “That was my first time to the city, and I honestly fell in love with it. ... The stadium is awesome. I hope that will be my future home in the next couple of years or so.”
Better yet, Syndergaard signed a baseball during a lunchtime visit to Foley’s in midtown. To his amusement, the ball was promptly placed between autographs from Katy Perry and Pamela Anderson, according to ESPNNew York.com.
