Motorcyclist dies after slamming into cab in Lincoln Tunnel
A motorcyclist died after hitting a cab in the Lincoln Tunnel early Sunday morning, officials said.
The unidentified 31-year-old cyclist slammed into the back of a taxi near the Manhattan exit of the tunnel just before 4 a.m., according to the Port Authority. He was rushed to St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about 45 minutes later.
A Port Authority spokesman said an investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
