Mrs. Butterworth's first name announced...
...and it's Joy!
The name had been kept a secret since 1961 and was just announced today.
Today, the company also announced winners of its "First Name" contest. Shayla Doty, 15, of Logansport, IN and Cynthia Harmon, 44, of Champaign, IL correctly guessed Mrs. Butterworth's first name.
