MTA: 'We know subways are running late'

Transit officials Monday confirmed what most subway riders already know: trains are running late and they are doing so more often.
The problem seems to be the worst with the numbered lines, which authorities said they coincidentally have been using a more accurate system to track on-time performance.
An MTA spokesman said track and signal work was largely to blame for the March service delays on the numbered lines.Here are the pokiest lines in the system, according to the MTA:
