Russian billionaire and Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov said Thursday that he’s open to becoming the next prime minister of his homeland, a position appointed by the elected president.
“It seems to me that I could handle the prime minister’s job,” Prokhorov, 46, said during a news conference in Moscow.
Prokhorov, who is reportedly worth about $18 billion, is the leader of a new Kremlin-friendly political party. Russia will hold its next presidential election in 2012.
