The regular-season debut of Brooklyn's $1 billion Barclays Center may have to wait.

NBA spokesman Tim Frank told Bloomberg News in an email that the league has not determined if Thursday's Nets-Knicks will take place as scheduled as a result of the damage caused to New York City by Hurricane Sandy. The game is currently scheduled for a 7 p.m. tipoff.

A Nets spokesman reached by Bloomberg deferred to the league regarding who decides if the game will be postponed.

All subway and train services are down, and currently it is not unknown when they will be restored. Bus lines have begun to be restored as of 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Without subway service, travel to the game would be limited to drivers and buses and could cause major traffic issues.
