Nets won't chase George Karl: Report
The Nets are currently navigating the NBA coaching carousel in an attempt to lure a big name to lead Brooklyn to its first championship in franchise history, but don’t expect the team to pursue former Nuggets head coach George Karl.
Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reported that Brooklyn is so focused on landing Indiana Pacers assistant Brian Shaw that the team is not going to entertain the idea of making an offer to Karl, the reigning Coach of the Year who was fired yesterday amid a contract dispute.
Shaw has never been a head coach in the NBA but spent six years with the Lakers under Phil Jackson. The Detroit News reported that Shaw is seeking the Clippers’ coaching vacancy.
