We here at amNewYork just couldn't resist checking out some of the newest additions to NYC's spa scene. Here are a handful worth visiting.

    AIRE Ancent Baths

Backstory: Spanish import AIRE brings its brand of luxurious, totally zen bathhouses to TriBeCa.
Vibe: Dark, peaceful and completely lit by candles, AIRE is an ideal place to just relaaaax. The below-ground bottom floor - which feels like a cave - is filled with a variety of Greek-and Roman-style thermal baths, as well as private treatment rooms. The best part? Time sessions are limited to 20 people, so the place is never crowded or noisy.
Pricing: 90-minute thermal bath, $75; thermal bath and 60-minute massage, $140
Cool treatment: Cava (champagne) ritual, $450
    Visit: 88 Franklin St., 212-274-3777

    Cornelia Day Spa

Backstory: Longtime NYC fave Cornelia shut down its Upper East Side doors four years ago, but has now re-opened (in a new location) at the upscale Surrey Hotel.
Vibe: Upscale yet nonpretentious personalized relaxation. The gorgeous space is quite small, and everything - from the private showers in each treatment room to the delicious sorbet and tea served post-treatment - feels as though it was created just for you.
    Pricing: 60-minute massage, $175; 60-minute facial, $195
Cool treatment: Irridescent pearl manicure with stem cell stimulation, $65
    Visit: 20 E. 76th St. (2nd Fl.), 646-358-3600

    Asanda Aveda Spa Lounge

Backstory: Asanda is an Aveda Concept spa, so fab hair, body and aromatherapy treatments are a given - as is the use of top-notch Aveda products.
Vibe: The front part of the spa is a busy hair (sans cuts and color, just treatments like glosses)-and-nail salon, while the back area provides a complete respite from the busy SoHo streets below, with a comfy, tranquil lounge and treatment rooms.
    Pricing: 20-minute hair-and-scalp treatment, $25; 50-minute massage, $80
Cool treatment: 50-minute chakra balancing massage, $120
    Visit: 598 Broadway, 212-966-0219

    YeloSpa

Backstory: Known for its napping sessions - yes, you can book a nap here! - YeloSpa has moved into a new locale that's high above the busy streets (unlike its previous ground-level location). Yelo offers body and skincare treatments, too.
Vibe: Cool and modern, the brightly colored space was designed to mimic a cocoon - so it's very inviting. Every treament (including napping) is booked by the minute, so a lot of Yelo's clientele is made of New Yorkers looking for a quick pre-, during or post-work spagoing.
    Pricing: Massage, $2.40/minute; skincare, $2.50/minute; napping, $1/minute
    Cool treatment: Napping
    Visit: 5 E. 57th St. (12th Fl.), 212-245-8235
