New York resident Isis is the first transgender contestant to vie for the title of "America's Next Top Model." The CW show returns in its 11th cycle on Sept. 3
Isis, 22, told Us magazine she is "a woman born physically male."
"My cards were dealt differently," said Isis, who works as a program assistant at a nonprofit organization.
As for being a role model, she said, "I like to help people, but I'm here to follow my dreams."
