NY Film Festival lineup announced
New York movie buffs will get early looks at Oscar-hopeful flicks starring A-listers such as Robert Redford, Ben Stiller, Tom Hanks and Rachel McAdams at the New York Film Festival, which announced its main slate lineup Monday.
The 51st annual iteration of the Film Society of Lincoln Center confab features a record selection of 35 films in its primary slate, including "All is Lost," starring Redford as a man alone on a sinking yacht in the Indian Ocean, the Coen Brothers' "Inside Llewyn Davis" and romantic comedy "About Time," starring McAdams and Bill Nighy.
Those movies join the previously announced festival opener "Captain Phillips," a hijacking drama starring Hanks, centerpiece "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," starring and directed by Stiller and closing night fare "Her," a love story about a man and his computer starring Joaquin Phoenix and directed by Spike Jonze.
There are also popular movies from the festival circuit, including the Cannes Film Festival-winning drama "Blue is the Warmest Color."
