NYPD aide busted for depositing fake checks: Police
A city employee was busted Thursday for cashing fake checks, police said.
Latanya Dupree-Dyett, a 32-year-old administrative aide for the NYPD, was arrested after trying to deposit four fraudulent checks worth about $9,000 according to an NYPD spokesman.
Dupree-Dyett, of Brooklyn, was not arraigned as of press time Thursday and her lawyer's name was unavailable. She was suspended without pay by the NYPD.
