Village Tart: The bakery at this long-awaited dessert and cocktail bar is having a soft opening this week, with the cafe set to open next month. The menu, designed by pastry master Pichet Ong, will feature both sweets and savory offerings. Kirshtein starts at Solo: Former “Top Chef” contestant Eli Kirshtein has joined New American kosher resturant Solo as executive chef.
