    Village Tart: The bakery at this long-awaited dessert and cocktail bar is having a soft opening this week, with the cafe set to open next month. The menu, designed by pastry master Pichet Ong, will feature both sweets and savory offerings.     Colicchio & Sons: This new restaurant, which draws on Tom Colicchio’s Tom: Tuesday Dinner series with seasonal and locally sourced dishes, opened on Monday in the former Craftsteak location. 85 10th Ave., 212-400-6699

    Kirshtein starts at Solo: Former “Top Chef” contestant Eli Kirshtein has joined New American kosher resturant Solo as executive chef. The restaurant, located in the atrium of the Sony building in midtown, will offer prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus in addition to an a la carte menu. 550 Madison Ave., btwn 55th and 56th sts., 212-833-7800
