Person struck by train at Penn Station
A man was struck by a train in Penn Station Wednesday morning causing delays on the Eighth Avenue lines, cops said.
The victim was breathing and awake following the 11:09 a.m. incident where he was struck by a northbound C train at the Penn Station stop, according to police.
Witnesses claimed the unidentified victim jumped in front of the train as it approached the station, cops said. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.
As the investigation continued, A, C and E trains were rerouted in both directions for an hour, the MTA spokesman said.
