  • Queens widow sues city for $10 million in husband's death

A Queens woman filed a $10 million lawsuit against the city alleging that her husband died because cops forced him to walk half a mile in blizzardlike weather.

Doris Hudson, 73, says that police stopped her and her husband, Robert Hudson, 72, on Jan. 14 while driving because she wasn't wearing a seatbelt, according to published reports. She didn't have her ID, so the cops made her husband walk home to get it, she says.

The cops issued her ticket while he was gone, and on their drive home he suffered a fatal heart, she says.

The city's law department declined to comment. Hudson's attorney didn't respond to requests for comment.
