Report: Off-duty NYPD cop suspended after boozy bus trip
The intoxicated NYPD sergeant booted from a Greyhound bus last month has been suspended without pay, according to reports Sunday.
Sgt. Carlos Fabara was off-duty when he caused a scene on a bus headed for New York from Philadelphia on Dec. 27.
A video posted on YouTube shows a driver on the bus trying to haul Fabara off despite his resistance, then Philadelphia police being called in.
"Things are about to get ugly in here," a voice on the video says.
When Philly police cuff Fabara, a voice -- presumably Fabara's -- is heard repeatedly saying, "I'm not resisting."
According to reports, the officer was on the bus with a friend, and the two were visibly drunk.
Fabara faced no criminal charges, according to the New York Post.
In 2006, the Daily News reported Fabara had 13 civilian complaints -- the most of any officer that year.
A spokesman for the NYPD could not confirm the report as of press time.
