‘127 Hours’
I don’t know what’s more harrowing: Watching James Franco play a trapped hiker in “127 Hours” who has to cut off his own arm, or watching him listlessly host the Oscars. But in all seriousness, this film — from Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle (“Slumdog Millionaire”) — didn’t bring in the box-office numbers of its fellow Oscar nominees, meaning there is a pretty good chance you missed it. Now’s your chance to fix that situation. (DVD, $29.98; Blu-ray, $39.99)‘WWE: Royal Rumble 2011’
As if a 30-man brawl wasn’t enough, this year the folks at WWE have turned the intensity up a notch with a 40-man Royal Rumble. (DVD, $24.95; Blu-ray, $29.93)‘Love & Other Drugs’
Everything about this rom-com seems familiar — hot-shot salesman crosses paths with ill woman — but it has one hell of a personable cast, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, Hank Azaria and the always awesome Oliver Platt. (DVD, $29.98; Blu-ray, $39.99)‘Bambi’
Our favorite deer is out of the Disney vaults for his Blu-ray debut, with some never-before-seen deleted scenes and a deleted song. (Two-disc Diamond Edition Blu-ray/DVD combo, $39.99)‘Faster’
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stars in this revenge thriller as a remorseless character simply named Driver, who is out to get the guy who double-crossed him and got his brother killed. Billy Bob Thornton plays Cop, who is, well, a cop that’s following him. (DVD, $24.96; Blu-ray, $34.95)‘Burlesque’
I’m still deciding who makes me want to see this movie less, Cher or Christina Aguilera. (I suppose it could be both.) For all you fans, however, this film is a can’t-miss spectacle of sex, drama and dancing with Aguilera, the young pop-starlet, and the aging, plastic amalgam going by the name of Cher. (DVD, $28.95; Blu-ray, $34.95)‘ReBoot: Season One & Two’
A groundbreaking children’s series of the 1990s, “ReBoot” was a full computer-animated cartoon that was heavy on the action and geared to the video-game generation. For people of a certain age, this DVD was a long time coming. (DVD, $29.93; Blu-ray)‘Pioneers of Television: Season 2’
Fans of classic television will swoon for these four exquisite episodes covering science-fiction, crime dramas, westerns and local kids’ TV series. Narrated by “Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer. (DVD, $24.99)
