    Jesus Navas of Spain celebrates scoring first goal

    An 88th-minute goal from substitute Jesus Navas gave Spain a 1-0 win over Croatia to put them into the quarterfinal as the winner of Group C in Euro 2012, Europe's international soccer tournament.

    Navas scored the winner after being fed by midfielder Andres Iniesta, who was played behind the Croatian defense by Cesc Fabregas.

    That result, coupled with Italy's 2-0 win over Ireland, eliminates Croatia. Antonio Cassano scored the winner for Italy in the 35th minute, while Mario Balotelli added an insurance goal in the 90th.
