Stuff we love: RGB Nails' new spring shades
As fun and transformative as nail lacquers can be, there's always been something sort of flip — silly almost — about the way in which companies market their polish. Need proof? Check out Stupid Nail Polish Names, a blog that hones in on the absurd monikers given to mass-market varieties.
Not that we don't love our drugstore bottles of OPI, China Glaze and Orly, but sometimes a gal just needs an upgrade.
RGB, with their minimalist packaging and flat square bottles, fits the bill with its three new high-shine shades inspired by founder Gina Carney's time spent lolling about the beaches of L.A.
Stone is a warm light gray; Coral an eye-popping orangey-red (similar to MAC's Scorcher, but slightly more opaque); and Sand is a surprisingly sheer, sandy nude.
While we appreciate the chic simplicty of the springtime colors, we appreciate their to-the-point names even more.
