Anything you can do, we can do better.

The U.S. women's basketball team took a page out of the record-setting men's team's book, tying the Olympic record for points scored in a 114-66 drubbing of China Sunday.

Diana Taurasi scored 22 points as the U.S. finished their preliminary round at 5-0.

The Americans ran wild after China (3-2) traded blow for blow with them in a fast-paced first quarter to trail only 31-28.

Defensive pressure began to rattle the Chinese and the U.S. team were off to the races, going on an 18-4 run to start the second quarter. They did not stop there, however, outscoring China 30-8 in the quarter for a 61-36 lead at intermission.

Next up for the Americans is Canada. The friendly neighbors will square off in the quarterfinals tomorrow.
