Ted Williams ditches drug rehab
Ted Williams, who rose to stardom on YouTube for his smooth announcer voice, has skipped out of a Texas drug rehab center, according to reports.
Williams, a 53-year-old homeless Ohio man, had agreed on the “Dr. Phil” show earlier this month to seek help for his drug and alcohol addiction.
"Ted was given the chance to voluntarily enter a drug rehabilitation facility in order to help him in dealing with his dependency on drugs and alcohol," McGraw told CNN yesterday. "In that it is voluntary, the decision to remain in treatment is Ted's to make.”
Williams gained national recognition and a slew announcer and voiceover job offers before his family accused him on Dr. Phil of letting his newfound fame fuel his addiction.
It’s unclear why Williams left rehab, but it’s not unusual for addicts to make several attempts at getting sober experts said.
