Three keys for a Jets upset on Monday Night Football
The Jets had an extra day to prepare for this week's Monday night matchup at home against the Texans. But against the AFC's lone unbeaten team, will it matter? Here's what has to happen for Gang Green to pull off the upset.
The Texans' top threat, running back Arian Foster, has rushed for 380 yards and four touchdowns this season. If the Jets can't stuff the run, which they've struggled to do this year, they won't have much of a chance.
Spark the offense
After scoring 48 points against Buffalo in Week 1, the Jets have only posted 33 points in the three games since. Mark Sanchez and Shonn Greene need to show they can create opportunities to get the team in scoring position, especially with their starting jobs seemingly in jeopardy.
Hold the line
Sanchez and Greene won't be able to do much if the offensive line can't keep the Texans at bay. Houston has 13 sacks and 11 tackles for loss this season, so that's a tall order. Nick Mangold, D'Brickashaw Ferguson and the rest of the O-line must raise their game.
