Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson to present at Tonys
Some very famous faces will present theater’s top prizes at next month’s Tony Awards.
Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, Jesse Eisenberg, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Jon Cryer are just some of the stars scheduled to present at the June 9 ceremony, The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing announced Wednesday.
Hanks was nominated for his starring role in Nora Ephron’s “Lucky Guy,” though neither Johansson nor Gooding Jr. received noms for their roles in the revivals of “Cat On A Hot Tin Roof” and “The Trip To Bountiful.” Johansson earned a Tony in 2010 for her perfomance in “A View From the Bridge.”
The show, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, airs live from Radio City Music Hall on CBS.
