Two men charged in baby's shooting death
The Brooklyn district attorney's office on Thursday indicted two men for the shooting death of 16-month-old Antiq Hennis.
Daquan Breland, 23, and Daquan Wright, 19, were indicted for the Sept. 1 shooting after their arrest in Pennsylvania over the weekend.
The indictment alleges that Wright handed Breland a gun to shoot the baby's father, Anthony Hennis, who was walking with his child near Livonia Avenue in Brownsville shortly after 7:15 p.m. Breland missed his target, but one of the bullets struck Antiq Hennis in the head, according to the indictment.
Breland was charged with second-degree murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, which carries a sentence of 25 years to life. Wright was indicted on two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and faces a maximum of 15 years in prison.
