'Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder call it quits
Well, that sucks.
“Vampire Diaries” co-stars and off-screen lovebirds Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have broken up after three years together, Us Weekly reported Thursday.
Dobrev, 24, and her hunky co-star, 34, are “consummate professionals” who will keep up their working relationship — and their friendship — a source told the magazine.
“[They] will continue to work together and remain best friends, which is where the relationship started,” the source said of the pair, who will co-star in the CW drama’s upcoming fifth season.
Meanwhile, Somerhalder tweeted the following message on Thursday: “A THOUGHT FOR TODAY: People change and forget to tell each other,” a quote that he attributed to the late playwright Lillian Hellman.
Dobrev was in the Big Apple this week to attend Monday night’s swanky Met Gala, feting the “Punk: From Chaos to Couture” exhibit, with designer Monique Lhuillier.
