How to protect yourself if another earthquake or tremor hits:

    • If you’re inside, drop to the ground, take cover under a sturdy object and hold on until the shaking ends. Stay away from windows or anything that can fall. Go outside once the quake ends, but don’t use an elevator to leave your building.

    • If you’re outside, stay there. Get away from lights or anything that can fall.

    • If you’re trapped, tap on a pipe or a wall so you can be found. Don’t shout for help — keep your mouth covered.
