Woman accuses Chris Brown of assault: Report
Chris Brown Monday shot down claims that he assaulted a woman in a California club.
Deanna Gines accused the rapper of assaulting her at an Anaheim, Calif., club this weekend, saying the star intentionally shoved her to the ground, injuring her knees so badly that she may need to have surgery, according to gossip site TMZ.com.
Brown, 24, performed at Heat Ultra Lounge on Saturday night, and after the show he went back to the VIP area, where the alleged victim was sitting, TMZ said.
According to the site, Brown shoved Gines down onto her knees, sending her to the hospital, where doctors told her she had torn ligaments in her right knee and may need to have surgery. She later tweeted a photo of herself wearing a leg brace and standing with crutches, and filed a police report, TMZ said.
Chris Brown brushed off the incident, tweeting, “I didn’t do anything,” and later, “#staypositive.”
Brown’s rep declined to comment to amNewYork on the record, but told TMZ that Brown’s team was “unaware of the incident,” adding: “None of this makes sense.”
A rep for the club said the “alleged incident regarding Chris Brown is false.”
