New York's for sale -- or at least its unwanted items.

Working with eBay, the state will launch the website NYSStore.com in early April, featuring state vehicles and other surplus goods. Bidders will also be able to snatch up computers, cell phones, furniture and office supplies.

The first sale will include almost 500 passenger vehicles, many with high mileage and made after 2000. Also on the market will be a bulldozer starting at $17,000.

The state expects to generate "hundreds of thousands of dollars" through the account, officials said Wednesday.

"By selling unneeded equipment and supplies, New York State will reduce operating costs and cut back on excess spending and inventory," Cuomo said in a statement.

But buyers shouldn't expect the governor, who's known for his fondness for muscle cars, to put up his sky blue 1975 Chevy Corvette on sale.

"Never going to happen," Cuomo tweeted Wednesday.
