Bloomberg says state aid education cuts will cost 2,500 teachers
Mayor Michael Bloomberg warned Albany's leaders Monday that the city would lose 2,500 teachers by 2014 if the state cuts $450 million in aid over the teacher evaluation flap.

MTA pushes back plans to phase out MetroCard: Officials
The MTA has pushed back its plans to replace the MetroCard until at least 2016 after rapidly changing technology threw a wrench into the previously expected tap-and-go system, according to official documents.
