Police have in custody a Brooklyn man suspected of burning mezuzahs in Williamsburg this week.

Brooklyn man shot sister and niece: NYPD
A 70-year-old man shot his sister and her daughter Tuesday morning in Flatbush, killing his 63-year-old sibling and wounding his 37-year-old niece, according to the NYPD.
The man shot his sister in the chest and shot his niece, who had a bullet graze her head, inside of a house at East 25th Street and Clarendon Road. His niece was taken to Kings County Hospital and is in stable condition.

Woman raped near Brooklyn College Saturday night: Cops
Cops are hunting for a man who allegedly raped a woman blocks from Brooklyn College on Saturday night.
The suspect approached the 22-year-old victim -- who is not a student or faculty member -- near East 27th Street and Glenwood Road around 9:45 p.m., police said. He then allegedly dragged her to an alleyway, raped her, stole her belongings and fled.
