Fastrack will shut down N, R, Q lines overnight this week in Manhattan
Late night Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens straphangers will have to make changes this week.
The MTA's Fastrack repair program will take place on the N, R and Q lines between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Monday until Friday.

MTA and other local agencies getting more federal funds to fix up after Sandy
The feds are doling out another $164.2 million to help area transit agencies pay for superstorm Sandy-related costs.

Uptown A train stations to close for FASTRACK this week
The MTA will be shutting down the A train service at Washington Heights and Inwood stops for four nights this week as part of the FASTRACK repair program.

Two incidents - one fatal - delayed subway service on two lines
One man died and another miraculously escaped death Wednesday in separate incidents on subway tracks, officials said.
In the first incident, a man jumped in front of the southbound F train at the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Island station in Queens around 11 a.m., officials said, delaying service in both directions for about an hour. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

About 38% of respondents in an Internet poll by the Straphangers Campaign asking riders to choose what they loved most about subways and buses picked "convenience" -- but another 31% said "I don't use the word 'love' in the same sentence with 'MTA.'
