Hey, gang, check it out: Another episode in our ongoing series of lists looking back at the 2000s in New York and Long Island sports.
This time, it's a look at the top teams from among the seven pro squads covered on a daily basis by Newsday.
No. 1: 2009 Yankees, a choice as easy as Derek Jeter was for No. 1 on our top athletes list.
Sarah Hughes ranked fifth on that list, and was so excited she Twittered about it.
Still no tweets from Jaromir Jagr about how pleased he was to finish at No. 10, even after all the guff I've taken from Mike Piazza fans for that choice.
Hmmph.
