Al Michaels used 'piece of crap' and 'Pro Bowl' in same paragraph

It's fair to say that Al Michaels probably is the only network NFL play-by-play man who would have the guts to use the terms "piece of crap" and "Pro Bowl" in the same thought - even though he actually was defending the honor of the game.
Here is what Al said with about two minutes left in Sunday night's game:
"I like what Jared Allen had to say and [Chris] Snee delaying his surgery and Manning and all of that. It's like, hey, look, the Pro Bowl takes a lot of grief, we know that. A lot of fans say, 'Oh, it's a piece of crap. I don't want to watch it. Who cares?'
"Look at the ratings. You think the NBA all-star game would take this rating? The NHL. Major League Baseball?"
Indeed, the Pro Bowl ratings usually are surprisingly good given how many people say they don't watch. The number for this year have not come in yet, but last year's game averaged 12.5 million viewers.
