During an interview on ESPN in which he admitted using performance-enhancing drugs, Alex Rodriguez accused Sports Illustrated’s Selena Roberts of stalking him, including an attempt to break into his home while his daughters were sleeping.

Roberts, who was working on a book about A-Rod, called the accusations “absurd.” Rodriguez later apologized. (Credit: AP)

The ball Alex Rodriguez hit for his 500th career home run in 2007 will be auctioned online beginning Jan. 20 by SCP Auctions.

The same company sold Barry Bonds' 756th career home run ball for $752,467.

Be careful out there, prospective buyers.

Mark McGwire's 70th home run ball from 1998 went for $3 million at auction.

Three years later, Bonds surpassed that figure for a new single-season record.
