Host, Andy Gresh: Alex Rodriguez talked about his cousin getting steroids for him in the Dominican Republic and he had a name that was tagged to it that I know Im not familiar with. Did that name that A-Rod mentioned (Boli), did it ring a bell with you at all?
Kirk Radomski: No, I called people that I know from the Dominican because they asked me, Whats Boli? I have no idea what the hell hes talking about. I dont know if he just doesnt want to say it is Primobolan, maybe thats why hes calling it Boli? But theres no drug name out there that says Boli on it. He tested positive for Primobolan.
Gresh: Whats interesting about what A-Rod mentioned is the dirty little secret that is winter ball and the ability to obtain this stuff in the Dominican Republic. Is that a part of this whole steroid story that we havent focused on enough?
Radomski: Of course it is. Just like you can go down to the store and buy a can of Pepsi, same thing in the Dominican and a lot of these countries you can go and buy steroids because it doesnt matter. Its legal there. And youre sending young guys over there to play there. What, you think theyre not going to pick it up?
Gresh: Do you believe A-Rods story where he talked about the cousin introducing him to Boli?
Radomski: No. First of all, Primobolan, anyone who knows anything about steroids, especially Primobolan, Primobolan you have to take twice a week. Its a very mild steroid. Its one of the most mild steroids out there. It works. Its fantastic but youve got to take it twice a week. You dont take it twice a month.
Gresh: So would twice a month do anything for a guy, especially like him?
Radomski: You might as well piss in a cylinder and shoot it up because its not going to do anything. They usually come in 100 milligrams of Primobolan, which is very mild. You need at least 100 to 200 milligrams a week just to get some effects.
Gresh: Can you tell if a guy is on Primobolan?
Radomski: Yeah, youll start to notice if you watch his body. If youre around the guy and you start to see the changes youll notice that hes not holding water in certain spots, hes getting harder, leaner, very quick. His eating habits havent changed but all of a sudden his body is and thats a telltale sign.
