An ESPN Classic-for-ESPNU swap? I'll take that deal!
Intriguing story here from the great John Ourand of the SBJ about the possibility of ESPN offering cable operators ESPNU as a digital basic channel in exchange for booting ESPN Classic onto a sports tier.
Even as someone prone to annoying bouts of wallowing in baby boomer nostalgia, I'm all for it - assuming the price is right.
ESPN Classic is an ongoing disappointment. Might as well replace it with some actual live sports - including lots of lacrosse!
