ESPN will announce later today that its "Baseball Tonight" will appear live from Yankee Stadium at noon on Opening Day.

Karl Ravech, John Kruk and Eric Young will be on the scene. After the show, Kruk will stay behind to analyze the Yankees-Toronto tilt, while Ravech and Young head north to do the late afternoon BBTN.

Kruk and the consistently excellent Dan Shulman will not be seen/heard in New York. The game is a YES exclusive around here.

ESPN/ESPN2 has four other games that day, though:

Brewers at Cubs (with Brent Musburger!), Giants at Dodgers (with Erin Andrews!), Angels at Twins (with Joe Morgan!) and Astros at Padres (with Orestes Destrade!).

Orestes gave me a quick hitting lesson during a visit I made to Bristol last August.

Didn't help. Billy Crystal, I'm not.
