BCS a ratings hit, outside NY
As expected, the BCS Championship Game is on pace to set new cable TV ratings records.
First up: Overnight ratings from 56 major markets.
The game averaged a cable-record 16.1 percent of homes, led by Birmingham (67.0 percent!) and Portland (37.5).
Where did New York rank? Dead last, at 8.1.
