Boomer on Jimmy Johnson: 'He ain't going to win pregame'
A leftover tidbit from last week before I get on with my newspaper work:
Fox analyst Jimmy Johnson was an early loser on the CBS reality show "Survivor," an experience he made clear was interesting but extremely difficult for him at age 67.
Among the many moments from my 48 hours with Boomer Esiason last week that I had to leave out of my subsequent story for space reasons was this:
Seconds before CBS' pregame show went on the air at noon on Sept. 26, a promo for "Survivor" was shown by the network.
Esiason threw out this quip just before the live cameras went on:
"Jimmy Johnson may win 'Survivor,' but he ain't going to win the pregame."
Have a pleasant Monday, WatchDog Friends and Family.
And bon voyage to Jerry Manuel, a former winner of the SportsWatch New York Sports Media Person of the Year Award.
