  • Breaking news: Eagles-Giants still at 1 p.m. Dec. 7

For the first time this season, the NFL has flexed out of the game penciled in for a Sunday night, announcing Redskins vs. Ravens would replace Patriots-Seahawks Dec. 7.

Giants fans who loathe prime time home night games might have the Eagles' recent implosion to thank for the break.

If the Eagles had not faltered, that game might have been in play for prime time, even though the teams met earlier this season on a Sunday night.

The Giants and Cowboys are penciled in for the Dec. 14 Sunday nighter. You might as well erase the pencil right now and write that one in permanent ink, my friends.

I guess I should write my Tuesday newspaper column now. Bye.
