Canadian newspapers eschew Grey Cup road trips

I'm doing the best I can to juggle watching Giants-Cardinals on Fox, watching Our Red Bulls go down to Columbus in the MLS Cup on ABC and watching the Grey Cup pregame show on Versus.

The work of a sports TV critic is never done.

Speaking of the Grey Cup, check out this interesting / sad story by William Houston, my favourite Canadian sports TV writer, regarding the lack of newspaper coverage of this year's big game.

That includes a guy from Edmonton who had covered 35 Grey Cups in a row.

Sounds as if the newspaper industry's troubles are not restricted to this side of the border.
