It was the first one of my personal Twitter Era, and I got really, really carried away posting random thoughts. Sorry.
Congratulations to the city of New Orleans, to the Saints and to Sean Payton, who seems to have recovered nicely from having Jim Fassel strip him of play-calling duties in 2002.
Here is my generally positive review of CBS' game coverage. My fellow New York sports media scribes wrote pieces that highlighted various elements of my take, including the curious lack of shots from New Orleans' celebration, Phil Simms' willingness to admit he is wrong and CBS' philosophy of keeping its focus on the field.
Who fans are furious with me for my take on the latest parade of the Super Bowl geezers. But fear not, one of our actual music experts, Glenn Gamboa, had a more favorable view.
Here is Verne Gay on the Super Bowl commercials. My favorite by far was the one featuring Letterman, Leno and Oprah.
