  • Cornell honors Dryden, Nieuwendyk

Al Michaels was in Vancouver Friday as the U.S. Olympic hockey team took another step toward its first gold medal since 1980.

Ken Dryden, Michaels' ABC broadcast partner from '80, was not in town. He had a prior engagement in Ithaca.

Speaking of Sunday's gold medal hockey game . . .

The cheapest ticket currently available on the secondary market goes for about $2,500.

That's a bargain if this U.S.-Canada game is anything like last weekend's.
