Cornell plans to procreate
One more thing about Cornell, then I'll move on to other things.
At least until tomorrow.
The quote of the tournament so far came from Cornell guard Louis Dale after Sunday's rout of Wisconsin when he said this, referring to the team's eight seniors:
"We want to take this ride as long as we can, because after this it's just nothing but babies and memories."
Dale was borrowing a quote from the 2004 movie "Friday Night Lights," but it still was a classic line in NCAA news conference annals.
(I recall expressing similar sentiments graduation weekend. Sigh.)
Inexplicably, ESPN cut off the best part of the quote when it showed a clip of Dale speaking on SportsCenter.
