Cris Carter joins ESPN as a studio analyst

Cris Carter, late of the recently cancelled HBO version of "Inside the NFL," has landed as an ESPN analyst.
The Bristol Stompers say they will use him as a studio analyst on NFL Live, SportsCenter and ESPNEWS as well as other programs and platforms.
Carter starts April 1.
(UPDATE: ESPN says the Carter hiring does not affect Emmitt Smith's role, since I know you all were wondering, as I was.)
