Dallas blogger disses bathroom habits of Jets fans!
It must be nice being a sports media critic in Dallas, what with all the free time on your hands in a market with two fewer first-place football teams than New York, and two fewer relevant baseball teams.
At least it enables Barry Horn to read and comment on my blog, including the post about Texas Stadium toilets (one of which is pictured here) going up for bid.
(Barry and other readers have pointed to my intriguing reference to the Shea toilet fixtures being used for "other purposes." Sorry. I was referring to them being used for their assigned purposes, just in different places. Sigh.)
It turns out Barry was married in Queens in 1981, after stopping en route to take in a Jets game! Wow. That's gutsy. Maybe he's not such a bad guy after all.
In June, 1993, I was sweating the possibility of being in Phoenix covering the Knicks in Game 7 of the NBA Finals three days before my scheduled wedding in New Jersey.
Then Charles Smith saved me in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals. Whew.
