East Northport-based sod firm greens Yankee Stadium

Interesting story here from my fellow former Giants beat writer, John Branch of the Times, about the marketing of Yankees sod - and seeds.
But the main reason I'm linking to it is the prominent mentions of DeLea Sod Farms, whose corporate headquarters in East Northport are about a half-mile from my childhood home.
I once had a patch of Yankee Stadium turf that a friend gave me after one of those storm-the-field-and-tear-it-up celebrations in the 1970s, but it died that winter.
