    This is a mildly amusing observation about a shot of the big city that ESPN showed during the Mets-Yanks tilt Sunday night.

    Not a big deal compared to some other stuff that went on during the ESPN presentation, of course (more about that in Tuesday's newspaper). And in fairness the blimp that would have offered live shots was grounded due to weather issues, and it wasn't as if ESPN claimed it was a live shot.

    Whatever. Here is a statement from ESPN about this: "It was a taped image, which are commonly used during transitional shots."

    Just wanted to clear all that up for you. You're welcome.
