  • ESPN.com editor Rob King is a Web voice of reason

I met ESPN.com boss Rob King in Bristol a couple of summers back and came away thinking this:

I'm glad the most powerful person in Internet sports journalism is so grounded and normal and voice-of-reason-ish.

And I'm not just saying that to butter up the guy for future considerations (wink, wink). No, really. Not entirely, anyway.

You can see what I mean about King by reading this interview with The Big Lead.

Among other things, he talks about working the A-Rod story Feb. 7 while at a monster truck rally.

Mr. King addresses (and dismisses) the alleged Reilly-Simmons feud that I asked Reilly about this week, but admits they are "different cats."
