ESPN overdoses on LLWS
It’s that time of year again, when ESPN ponders the gaping hole in its late August programming and fills it with a shocking number of baseball games featuring 11- and 12-year-olds.
I am not one of those old people who laments that the world was a better place when I was young. But in this one case it certainly was: Showing only the Little League World Series championship game was rational and appropriate.
This month ESPN platforms will carry a total of 117 games leading up to the LLWS final in Williamsport.
That is not rational or appropriate. That is nuts.
