ESPN to blog about ESPN
ESPN soon will be starting a blog that covers . . . ESPN. Given the level of interest in the Worldwide Leader and its personalities, I guess this makes sense.
But we shouldn't expect too much in the way of negative coverage.
Newsday's sports department should try this. I'll get it started right now:
Um . . . Glauber is older than he looks and likes to play soccer. Rock is funny on Twitter. Lennon was a part-timer in our Queens office when I worked there in the 1980s.
My wife once was on jury duty with Davidoff's mother.
Our sports editor is a fan of MMA. His deputy likes Penn State football.
Our sports website editor is Cornell Class of '97.
Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all. Never mind.
